Q: 1. How should I maintain my mechanical baton?
A: Mechanical batons are precision instruments, and proper maintenance can extend their lifespan:
• Regular Lubrication: It is recommended to apply 1-2 drops of the included special grease to the joints every 3-6 months, or when it feels stiff when opening and closing, then repeatedly extend and retract the baton several times to distribute the grease evenly.
• Cleaning: Wipe away sweat and dust with a dry cloth. Avoid washing the inside directly with water.
• Storage: When not in use for a long time, apply a small amount of grease and retract the baton, then store it in a dry place.
Q: 2. Can I use my mechanical baton to test its effectiveness against hard objects such as bricks and steel plates?
A: Strongly not recommended. Mechanical batons are designed for self-defense and control against human targets. Although our products have passed rigorous strength tests, repeated impacts on hard objects will severely damage the internal precision parts and locking mechanism, leading to premature failure. Such misuse is not covered under warranty.
Q: 3. How do I properly extend and retract the baton?
A: Extending the baton: Forcefully swing it forward (inertia extension) or grasp the handle section and pull out the striking section directly (manual extension). A "click" sound indicates that the baton is locked.
Retracting the baton: Ensure the surroundings are safe, then press the button at the end firmly with your thumb until it is fully extended. Simultaneously, push the baton section back with your hand or gently tap it downwards to retract it. The entire process does not require impact with the ground.
