Q: What is the correct wearing procedure and "pre-acclimatization" for a bulletproof vest?
A: New bulletproof police vest cannot be used directly on the battlefield:
1. Correct Wearing:
• Close to the bulletproof police vest: The vest should fit snugly against the torso, with the inserts not wobbling. Being too loose is fatal, as it can cause the inserts to shift upon impact, exposing vital areas.
• Height Alignment: The upper edge of the front plate should be level with or slightly lower than the collarbone, ensuring full coverage of the sternum.
• Side Protection: The side plates should be positioned along the midline of the armpits, not restricting natural arm movement.
2. Pre-acclimatization Training:
• Weight Acclimatization: Gradually increase wearing time, from 1 hour to a full day, allowing muscles and the cardiovascular system to adapt to the load.
• Tactical Movement Integration: Practice tactical movements, shooting stance changes, crawling, and obstacle crossing while wearing the vest to ensure it does not hinder core tactical movements.
• Emergency Drills: Practice getting up after falling while wearing the vest, quickly changing magazines, and being dragged away by teammates.
