• Main Material: Polycarbonate (PC) is currently the most commonly used material. It boasts extremely high transparency (for easy observation), excellent impact resistance (withstanding blows from bricks and clubs), light weight, and is not easily shattered.

• Other Materials: High-strength composite materials (such as fiberglass reinforced plastic), aerospace-grade aluminum alloys, etc., offer even higher protection strength, but may be slightly less transparent and lighter.

• Surface Treatment: The shield face is usually treated with a scratch-resistant finish and may be coated with an anti-fouling coating to maintain clear visibility.

The shield body contains foam or rubber cushioning pads to absorb impact and reduce vibration to the user's arms and body.

• Main Grip: Located behind the shield's center of gravity, it is typically a fixed grip, either horizontally or vertically, ensuring a secure hold.

• Forearm Securing Strap: Secures the forearm to the shield using Velcro or buckles, distributing weight and preventing the shield from slipping out of the hand during impact.

• Auxiliary Grip Strap/Shoulder Strap: Some models are equipped with a shoulder strap for easy carrying or transfer over extended periods.
